Free legal help for LGBTQIA+ people in the southeast

Justice Q provides free and affirming legal assistance for LGBTQIA+ people, delivered by LGBTQIA+ lawyers. We know that many LGBTQIA+ people face barriers when seeking legal help, including concerns about discrimination, past negative experiences, and services that do not understand their lived experiences.

Justice Q works closely with other specialist teams at SMLS to provide advice and assistance in a way which is culturally safe for LGBTIQA+ people.

Alongside providing legal assistance, Justice Q works with LGBTQIA+ communities to improve access to justice through community education, advocacy, and social work support. Our service creates a safe and inclusive space where people can access advice, understand their rights and navigate legal issues with confidence. Whether someone is facing discrimination, family law issues, employment concerns or other legal challenges, Justice Q provides support that is grounded in dignity, respect and understanding.
