Migrant workers are often among the most vulnerable members of Australia’s workforce, facing barriers to reporting wage theft and workplace exploitation due to visa insecurity and fear of retaliation.
As a signatory to this open letter, South East Monash Legal Service joined legal and community organisations across Australia in calling for stronger protections for migrant workers, including visa safeguards for whistleblowers, faster and more accessible pathways to recover unpaid wages, and expanded access to the Fair Entitlements Guarantee
