Climate change is increasingly affecting housing, health, employment and the cost of living, with the greatest impacts falling on people who have the fewest resources to adapt.
South-East Monash Legal Service advocated for a climate justice approach that places vulnerable communities at the centre of climate action, calling for stronger protections for renters, affordable and energy-efficient housing, climate-resilient infrastructure, and greater investment in community legal and support services to help people adapt to a changing climate.
