Finding a job is only part of the challenge. Sustainable employment also requires secure work, fair conditions and the support needed to overcome barriers to workforce participation.
In this joint submission to the Victorian Inquiry into Sustainable Employment for Disadvantaged Jobseekers, South East Monash Legal Service and WEstjustice highlighted the experiences of migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum, advocating for targeted employment support, workplace rights education, culturally responsive services and stronger pathways to secure, long-term employment.
