Creating a fair and productive workforce requires more than economic growth. In this joint submission to the Australian Government’s Employment White Paper, South East Monash Legal Service, WEstjustice, JobWatch and the University of Melbourne Student Union Legal Service outlined a roadmap for stronger job security, fair pay, gender equality and protection for vulnerable workers.
The submission calls for reforms to tackle insecure work, improve outcomes for migrant workers and carers, strengthen wage recovery mechanisms, and ensure all workers can access safe, fair and decent employment opportunities.
