关于澳大利亚日益加剧的租房危机的调查

Housing is a fundamental human right, yet many Australians are increasingly unable to access secure and affordable accommodation. In its submission to the Senate Inquiry into the Worsening Rental Crisis in Australia, South-East Monash Legal Service highlighted the challenges faced by renters experiencing financial hardship, family violence, homelessness and insecure housing, as well as international students navigating an increasingly unaffordable rental market.

The submission calls for greater investment in social and affordable housing, stronger protections against excessive rent increases, improved access to tenancy support and legal assistance, and a human rights-based approach to housing policy.
