South-East Monash Legal Service made a submission to the Senate Inquiry into the Family Law Amendment Bill 2023, drawing on our extensive experience supporting families involved in family law and family violence matters.
The submission broadly supports reforms that strengthen child safety and simplify family law processes, while recommending further measures to better recognise family violence, address systems abuse, and ensure children’s voices and best interests remain central to decision-making.
