关于加强维多利亚州针对仇恨言论和仇恨行为的法律的调查

Everyone should be able to participate in community life free from hatred, vilification and discrimination. In its submission to the Victorian Government, South East Monash Legal Service supported stronger protections against hate speech and hate conduct, advocating for expanded anti-vilification laws that protect LGBTQIA+ people, people with disability, people living with HIV/AIDS, and others targeted because of their identity.

The submission also emphasises that legal reform should be accompanied by education, community awareness initiatives and accessible legal support to address the underlying causes of discrimination and build more inclusive communities.
